Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. 3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. 4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.

 Apostle Paul is speaking

unto certain disciples....

He said unto them,

''Have ye received the Holy Ghost

since ye believed?''

Acts 19 King James Version (KJV)

1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

7 And all the men were about twelve.

8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

9 But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.

10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.

15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.

19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

If You Continue In The Faith...

Colossians 1:22-25 King James Version (KJV)

22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

Scriptures tell us;     The Holy Spirit Promised

John 16:13  King James Version (KJV)

''Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come".

Some will abandon the faith.

1 Timothy 4:1  King James Version (KJV)
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;”

Can YOUR NAME

  BE REMOVED

From The Book Of Life?

Revelation 3:5-6

5) He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

6) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Exodus 32:33 King James Version (KJV)

And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

(Exodus 32:33) "Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die." (Ezekiel 18:4) The word sinneth means the act of continuing in a sin. The lesson here is that those who continue in sin lose (actually reject) salvation. This is evidenced by the fact that God will blot their names out of the Book of Life - they “lose” eternal life.

We have two ultimate choices in life...

to obey God's Word, or to disobey God's Word. The consequence of disobedience (rejection/unbelief) was made plain to Adam and Eve and to the Israelites, as it is to us - eternal death. We are reminded that the Israelites were saved out of Egypt "And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." They, however, FELL from their faith: they repeatedly sinned - departed from believing/obeying the Word; thus, God's law of sin and death took hold as their hearts became hardened to sin: "So I [God] sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.” (Hebrews 3:11“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) "And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man ..." (Genesis 6:3) There is a point at which God leaves man to his hard-heartedness.

MANY FALL AWAY FROM THE FAITH WHO WERE ONCE SAVED

The Holy Ghost gives repeated warnings against falling away from the faith - from a relationship with God: "Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin." (Hebrews 3:12,13)

Notice to whom this latter statement is addressed - brethren - believers. It's not enough to just hear the Word, to profess the Word or to have ONCE followed the Word. The Word MUST be daily "... mixed with faith ..."(Hebrews 4:2) There is no such thing as faith without works; that is, we must DO what the Word of God commands. It is "... by works was [is] faith made perfect." (James 2:22) These "works" are works of righteous living - refusing to live in a lifestyle of sin. This includes bridling our tongue (which can defile the whole body - James 3) and refusing to take the Lord's name in vain. (Exodus 20:7) "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." (James 2:26) "I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not."

"Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition ... Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall." (I Corinthians 10:11,12)

Study carefully the following Scriptures which give a contextual meaning of terms often twisted today when someone chooses a lifestyle of sin. As with the Israelites, this includes those who were once saved but have fallen from their faith/obedience in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through sin, they rejected God’s Word.

REPENTANCE (TURNING FROM SIN)

A person who is involved in sin who only says/confesses he is sorry has not repented. The offender must stop practicing what the Scripture defines as sin and turn to Jesus Christ by living righteously - abhorring and having nothing to do with the sin. "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." (Proverbs 28:13) "And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe [obey] the gospel." (Mark 1:15)

"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3) "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ..." (Acts 3:19) "... that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for (proof of) repentance." (Acts 26:20) When we repent, we don't practice sin. It's impossible to be forgiven for a sin from which we refuse to turn/forsake.

Revelation 2:5 King James Version (KJV)

5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

"And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached ..." (Luke 24:47) Many there are that have blood upon their hands because they are not warning friends, relatives and others whom God brings into their paths of the sins in which they are involved. This includes thousands of pastors who are wrongly telling their "sheep," directly or indirectly through implied approval, that they are forgiven even when they remain in their lifestyles of sin; that is, they have actually only confessed their sins. They have "... strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life." (Ezekiel 13:22) "... his blood will I [God] require at thine hand." (Ezekiel 33:8) We are God’s “watchmen” who are to warn those practicing sin what the Word says regarding it.

Notice that in the book of Revelation, it is recorded in the same type imagery as in Genesis. We are - as were Adam and the woman - promised that if we overcome sin, our name will be written in the Book of Life and we will "eat" of eternal life (the Tree of Life): "...To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God." (Revelation 2:7) "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life."(Revelation 21:27)

Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. (Revelation 2:5)

Lyrics

I feel the touch of hands so kind and tender.
They're leading me in the paths that I must trod.
I'll have no fear for Jesus walks beside me
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

So let the storm clouds rage high,
The dark clouds rise,
They won't worry me;
For I'm sheltered safe within the arms of God.
He walks with me,
And naught of earth shall harm me,
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

Soon I shall hear the call from heaven's portals
Come home my child,

It's the last mile you must trod
I'll fall asleep
And wake for God's new heaven
Sheltered safe within the arms of God.

So let the storm rage high,
The dark clouds rise,
They won't worry me;
For I'm sheltered safe within the arms of God.
He walks with me,
And naught of earth shall harm me,
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

John 14:15

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

King James Version (KJV)

Day Of Pentecost

Day Of Pentecost

Acts Chapter 2  verses 1-47

King James Version (KJV)

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,

10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:

21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people.

And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Loves you.

Revelation 22:12-21

King James Version (KJV)

12) And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15) For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

16) I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

17) And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

18) For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19) And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

20) He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

21) The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Lyrics

I never thought I'd see the day, when you come to kneel and pray
I never thought that I would see, the church-house filled to capacity
And outside the door there's more, who have never come before
Oh what a shame that Jesus came, one day before

And you came one day too late, one day too late
Jesus came and you've been left behind, to wait
Yesterday you couldn't find time for Jesus on your mind
You finally came to call His name, but one day too late

You tried to live the best you could, you tried to do the things you should
But when it came to serving God, you said, "I still have time to wait"
Now it's all turned around, time to serve him now you've found
How sad to think you've found the time, one day too late

And you came one day too late, one day too late

Jesus came and you've been left behind, to wait

Yesterday you couldn't find, time for Jesus on your mind

You finally came to call his name, but one day too late

One day too late
